                                  After-school story hour.   Drop your books and relax with a story.  For

Carrollton LIBRARY

                                  Ongoing Giant Book Sale!   Browse through a large selection of gently used
                                   adult and children's books on sale.  Hard bound $1.00 and paperbacks $.25.
                                   All proceeds benefit our children's programs and activities.


 
  
Sept. 3 to             Carrollton Library is collecting Farm Fresh cash register tapes, General Mills
    June 14                Box Tops, and Campbell labels for the Carrollton Elementary School through
                                   the school  year.  Drop off in the lobby!

    April 6 to             National Library Week Fine Free Event!  Celebrate National Library Week
    April 12                Find all the overdue library books around the house and return them
                                  without owing a cent!  First time patrons signing up for a new library card
                                  receive a free book.  All patrons receive a small gift while they last.

     May 6                  Volunteer Recognition Reception!   The library will host a reception for
     11:00 am            all of our volunteers.  The public is invited to meet all of these dedicated
     1:00 pm              volunteers from 12:00 to 1:00 at our library.  Refreshments will be available.

CLAREMONT LIBRARY

      April 10              Poetry night.  If you like to read, listen to, or write poetry this night is
      6:00 PM             for you.  Refreshments will be available.  Sign up for this program.

                     Earth Day is April 22.  Make a Earth Day bag at the library April 1-18 and we will
                     pass them along to Savers Market.  These will be then be used for their grocery
                     customers.

     Ongoing               Every month Computer tutoring and classes.  Learn how to use a

SMITHFIELD LIBRARY

    Tues. & Thur.      "My Reading Buddy" starting July 2.  Buddy the AKC Black Lab is a certified
    Tues-4:30-6:30   therapy dog.  Children in 1st grade on up may read 15 minutes one day a week
   
Thur-2:30-4:30    to Buddy.  Bring your favorite book or select one from our basket.  Call the
                                   
library to sign up to read.

      ongoing            benefit the Library and it's programs.

      April 11             Celebrate National Library Week with a special children's program,
   
  10:00 AM          "I Love America" with Uncle Sammie!   Each child that attends will receive
                                 a FREE book -- courtesy of the Suffolk Literacy Council.
