This branch of the Rawls Library System in Isle
of Wight County wasd in January of 1995. It was the realization
of a dream that started with the founding of the Windsor Library Friends Group in 1993. The students at Pruden
VoTech in Suffolk,
Virginia built the library. In 1996, it was evident that additional space was needed and
a back room was added to accommodate the children's collections. This addition is used for children's programs and

| Friends: We have a very active Friends Group headed by Mrs. Ruby Thompson. The group welcomes new members and meets the second Monday of each month at the library at 7 P.M. They volunteer at the library, hold a yearly book and bake sale, and hold a breakfast with Santa in December. All proceeds go to the library.
