Since October 1, 1984 Surry Public Library has been serving
 Surry County residents and people from surrounding areas.  Because of Surry's historical background, the Library continues to have numerous out of state visitors, and has had several visitors from England and Australia.

Our library offers Story Time hours, Thursdays 10:00 to 10:45 A.M. for the Head Start Group, and Fridays 10:00 to 10:45 A.M. for the Weekly Group.  We also offer a Summer Reading Program for the children.
